Why Wandana

I am exceptionally proud of the way that Wandana embeds the information and learning coming from the field of neuroscience. The school believes in and actively structures situations that help students become the best learners they can be. Academic learning relies on how we can focus our attention, keep focused, remember and manage our emotions. At Wandana, we specifically teach these skills. Seeing the changes that this approach makes in our students and how happy the children are with their progress, gets me out of bed in the morning.

The Wandana Community is a very special one. Our students are all fantastic, unique individuals and our community all work exceptionally hard to support all the amazing things our kids do.
I am proud of the acceptance of diverse cultures and the opportunity for students to express their individuality. There is also such a strong focus on creating safe and positive learning environments.
I am always excited by the passion my students bring to every day’s learning in the preschool. Their energy and joy in life are contagious. Our preschool is a true community where everyone is welcomed and respected for the richness they bring to the group.

I love that staff have high expectations of students and their learning, and students have high expectations of themselves and others. It is such a pleasure to work amongst a real community of learners!

Students at Wandana love to learn! This is evident by the array of bright smiles and cheery hello’s as I walk through the yard in the morning. These bright attitudes stay with the students throughout the day as they strive to be the best learners that they can be.
